Tell me you'll wait for me
I'm bursting at the seams. I wish I had time to write. About the (semi-) disasterous 2nd attempt at baking, a relaxed, (sort of) self-pampering Vesak Day holiday (mini makeover), my first ever tango class, (so fun!! once I got over my self-consciousness, that is. ^_^) the weekends of playing hard (Sat's dragonboat trainings) and eating with a vengeance. (Sinful hawker food, Aerin's in Raffles City, Ikoi in Miramar hotel etc.)
I've got yummy food pics that I'll post once I have time. This will be my last post for a while yet.
Cos' the backpacking holiday with the Sis is finally on my doorstep!!! (Just one more day!) In the midst of tons of work (paperwork to finish before I go) and preparations, I'm in a tear-my-hair stressed out mode and not feeling the least bit excited at all. :(
But I am hoping that once the workday ends tomorrow, (pray hard for me that I'll get most stuff done) and get to the airport at night, (yes, I've still got to work the day I'm flying off... O_o) I'd be much better. (Though I have a sneaky feeling I might resemble a neurotic wreck from the mad rush, crossing my fingers and toes that I didn't forget anything important. I'm not half-packed yet by the way. I'm so dead...)
While I'm chomping on my nails in nervousness, some friends have been really sweet. One lent me his travel first aid kit yesterday and bought me some strepsils, salonpas patches and po chai pills today. Chiu brought his 'Swisscard' (a swiss army knife gadget but in a card form) today to lend me. And all out of their own accord. So nice! :D (Ok, I hope it's not cos' they think I can't take care of myself. I am not a flower from the greenhouse, Chiu!) Others sending texts to wish me a safe, good trip. :)
In all the craziness, I've wanted to squeeze in some time for the gym but that has proven quite impossible. :( I'll be missing 3 weeks worth of dragonboat training. And it's the races the very weekend I get back. (Yes, the captain a.k.a the new Godfather, says I'm rowing.) So that means trying to do some pushups everyday so I don't go all flaccid and soft... *eww...* haha... Hope I don't become a bingowing-y, fat arse (well, I meant more than what I already am...) at the end of the trip!
3 weeks, people! I hope I'll be missed. Even if just a tiny bit. By my small group of readers. ^_^
