Happy Women's Day gerls! :) I was surprised to get smses from a couple of Europeans frens today who wished me Bonne Anniversaire and Happy Femme's Day or something like that. The 1st sms I was perplexed because I was thinking, it's not my birthday today why would my fren wish me Bonne Anniversaire? (which usually means Happy Birthday in French) Only after the sms from another fren did I realize wat they meant. I mean, in Singapore, we don't really take much notice of this day, do we?
After work, when I met up some frens to go for French class together, my fren who sent me the 1st sms gave me a box of chocolates and I asked him watever for? (Not tat I would reject chocolates ^_^ kekeke... but I wanted to know wat's the occasion...) So he said cos' it's International Women's Day. Cute huh? :)
Seems like in Europe, the role of women in society is more consciously appreciated... hmmm... Guys from home, time to learn to be more gallant! :)
